Hoji Cha

We are pleased to bring you this new loose leaf green tea from Shizuoka, Japan. This roasted kukicha (young stems of Sencha tea leaves) tea is great for all ages,  as its flavorful and low in caffeine. The stems are coarse and toffee colored hinting to aromas and flavors that are revealed in the cup. The liquor is a bright amber color, and with aromas of roasted cocoa beans. The palate has interesting flavors of toffee, roasted nuts, and a hint of sweetness. A unique robust tea.
