Matcha Genmai Cha

We are pleased to bring you this new loose leaf green tea from Shizuoka, Japan.  Unlike our other Genmaicha selection, this tea is blended with stone-milled Matcha (a powdered green tea traditionally used for tea ceremonies). The dry leaf is an attractive display of Sencha tea leaves and brown rice dusted with the fine powder of Matcha. The liquor is a vibrant lime color, with immediate aromas of roasted rice. The addition of Matcha to the blend adds a creaminess on the palate. Roasted rice and fresh cut grass mingle together leading to a long smooth finish. A tea that needs no ceremony!
